Please take the animal you wish you surrender to the humane society/animal control agency in your county. If you live in Allegan or Van Buren Counties, you may bring the animal to Al-Van.

You will be asked to answer a few questions about the animal you are surrendering, including:

• Has the animal bitten anyone in the last ten days?
• Do you own the animal?
• If you do not own the animal, where did you find it?

In addition to these questions, you will be asked to provide a copy of your drivers license and you will also be required to sign a waiver stating that Al-Van has the right to euthanize the animal based on health, temperament or lack of space.

There is no set fee for surrendering an animal to Al-Van, but we do ask if you would be willing to make a donation for the care of the animal.
